Alexander Duff
The towboat Alexander Duff was built in 1981 by Brice Shipbuilding in Chauvin, Louisiana, and has been sailing under the Vane flag since 1994. She was formerly named L.J. Broussard of Canal Barge Company, Inc. in New Orleans, Louisiana. Powered by twin 1000 horsepower Cummins Engines, and measuring 60’ long, 24’ abeam, and 7’ deep, the Alexander Duff is named for the company president's eldest son, Alexander Duff Hughes.
She is seen here underway on the Delaware River with Philadelphia's Benjamin Franklin Bridge in the background.
