Willkate

Vane purchased the Willkate and Carlyn in 1986 from the Broadway Meat Company, owners of Marine Launch, a subsidiary and local distributor of ships’ stores and lubricating oils.  Broadway Meat was owned by Baltimorean's William Frick and his sons, Roy and George.

Built in 1979, the launch Willkate is the mainstay of Vane’s Marine Launch company.  At 61 gross tons, she measures 65’ long, 19’ abreast, and 6’ deep.  The Willkate is named for the son and daughter of former owner, Roy Frick.
