The Vane Brothers



The tug Vane Brothers was designed and built by St. Charles Steel Company, at Thibodaux, Louisiana in 1981. The 80 foot long, 2400 horsepower twin screw tug is powered by Cummins KTA 38M engines. She features the latest in electronic navigation equipment including NOAA electronic charting, single side band radio, global positioning system and gyro-compass. The tug Vane Brothers tows our coastal and ocean barges between all ports on the eastern seaboard.
