Why Vane?
Vane Brothers is a family-owned company, and when you are on one of our vessels, you are part of the Vane family. We pride ourselves on mentorship among our crews, while also delivering unparalleled shore-side support available 24/7.
Getting you home safely is our top priority. We provide the most up-to date equipment or worry-free operations. And you can enjoy your downtime in crew areas with satellite TV and WiFi. Grub money is also provided to every fleet.
Vane Brothers offers even-time work schedules, such as two weeks on/two weeks off OR three on/three off. That means you only work six months out of the year for a full year’s salary, and can enjoy six months off to relax, travel, explore a hobby, or create great family memories.
Vane’s in-house training programs are designed to help you take that next step to the position of your choice—whether it’s up in the wheelhouse, down in the engine room, or on a barge.
We are committed to providing competitive pay while also offering the means to enhance your financial footing through our Fleet Legacy Bonus and Annual Safety Bonus programs, as well as with our Referral Program.
Annual salaries are competitive with other companies in the industry and are augmented by very achievable bonus programs.
The more you progress in your maritime career with Vane Brothers, the more you earn. And we work hard every year to deliver the best benefits package possible for you and your family.
The longer you stay with Vane Brothers, the larger your annual bonus becomes! Loyalty is highly valued here.
Safety is our number one priority. Many mariner positions have the potential to earn an annual bonus by practicing outlined safety measures while onboard.
Vane employees have the potential to earn a one-time payment for referring tug operators, tankermen and licensed engineers. (*Details are available through Vane Brothers’ Human Resources department. This program may be terminated without notice.)
